Many modern remotes contain rolling code technology, which use billions of different combinations to prevent cloning. Add On Receivers

In certain circumstances older style remotes with internal dip switches are no longer produced or are prohibitively expensive. In such cases a simple receiver can be fitted to your existing garage door opener. This has multiple benefits, including the latest security (rolling code technology with billions of code combinations) and the benefit of cheaper replacement remotes in the future if a remote is lost or damaged.
